Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (2012) American 3d science fiction experience comic drama film controlled by Brad Peyton. It is the second film in the Journey film arrangement and the spin-off of Journey to the Center of the Earth.
In this catch up to the 2008 worldwide hit Journey to the Center of the Earth, the new 3d family experience Journey 2: The Mysterious Island starts when adolescent Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson, repeating his part from the first film) gains a coded pain motion from a puzzling island where no island may as well exist. It's a position of abnormal life structures, mountains of gold, lethal volcanoes, and more than one astounding mystery. Unable to prevent him from going, Sean's new stepfather, Hank (Dwayne Johnson), joins the journey. Together with a helicopter pilot (Luis Guzman) and his excellent, solid willed girl (Vanessa Hudgens), they set out to discover the island, salvage its solitary tenant and escape before seismic shockwaves compel the island under the ocean and cover its prizes until the end of time.
